Print and Mail Services for Private Health Funds
Flagstaff Print, Mail and Digital helps Australian health funds communicate with their members by print and mail: premium change letters, policy updates, welcome packs, marketing campaigns and daily mail processing. As an Australia Post Bulk Mail Partner and not-for-profit social enterprise based in Wollongong, we combine reliable, accurate member mail with real social impact, because every job supports employment for people with disability.
Health funds are already one of the largestsectors we serve, and Illawarra-based fund Peoplecare has partnered with us formore than 11 years.

Member mail that arrives when it matters
The annual premium round
Health funds apply to the federal Health Minister for premium changes once a year, and must then notify policyholders of approved changes. Most funds have signed the industry Private Health Insurance Code of Conduct, which requires them to give policyholders at least 30 days' notice of price changes ahead of the 1 April adjustment. That puts a large volume of member letters into a tight production window every year.
Why a printed letter still counts
Research commissioned by Money.com.au in 2026 found that 18% of Australians say they routinely miss their health fund's premium increase notice, because they don't open the message or assume it is marketing. A clearly addressed letter is a reliable way to make sure important changes are seen.
Members' information needs careful handling
Under the Privacy Act, organisations must take reasonable steps to protect the personal information they hold. Member data should only be shared with a print and mail partner that treats it with the same care.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should health funds send premium change letters?
Health funds must notify policyholders of approved premium changes, and most have committed under the Private Health Insurance Code of Conduct to at least 30 days' notice before changes take effect on 1 April. Allow time for production and Australia Post delivery on top of that, and book your mail house early, because the premium round is a peak period.
Can you handle our day-to-day member mail as well as big campaigns?
Yes. We process daily outbound mail for health fund clients as well as large annual mail-outs and marketing campaigns.
How do you look after our member data?
Member data is handled securely throughout the job. Ask our team about our data transfer and handling procedures when you brief us.
Can you produce accessible versions of member letters?
Yes. We produce large print and Braille versions alongside standard letters, so every member receives information in a format they can read.
Do you work with health funds outside NSW?
Yes. We are based in Wollongong and deliver print, mail and fulfilment for clients across Australia.
How does working with Flagstaff support our community commitments?
Flagstaff is a not-for-profit social enterprise. Every job supports employment and skills programs for people with disability, giving your fund a measurable social outcome from everyday spend.
